Simply pinch the record outwards. Pinch it in again to return to normal mode.
NB this method has been superceded - you can now use your iPod Library tunes Go to the menu, and note the URL - without closing Flare, type the URL that appears on the record into the web browser on your computer. This will take you to the Flare upload page where you can upload mp3s, AAC files and WAVs.
Not if you're using Safari or any other Bonjour/ZeroConf enabled browser.
First make sure that Bonjour is enabled in Preferences > Bookmarks > Include Bonjour in Bookmarks Menu
Then in Safari go to: Bookmarks > Bonjour > Flare Uploader on My iPhone
In the Flare preferences panel in the settings of your iPhone/iPod Touch:
Your iPhone > Settings > Flare
Switch it to "On" to put the Transformer Button into "Push for Audio" mode.
The left handed switch is in the Flare preferences panel:
Your iPhone > Settings > Flare > Left Handed Mode
Once set Flare will launch in mirror flipped mode, and you will
no longer need to feel discriminated against.
Tap the menu button, select either Flare Library or iPod Library, select a song, then tap Play. Tap Done to return to the turntable.
The answer to this question seems to be a resounding "Yes". Read on for more information.
Several users have reported that Flare works just fine with Virtual DJ. While Flare's experimental built-in control tones apparently work, for best results grab the official Virtual DJ Timecode MP3 and upload it at as a Flare battle record.
Yes! Flare has been confirmed to work with Serato Scratch Live.
Just download the zipped Rane/Serato Scratch Live Control CD and upload it as a Flare battle record.
Be warned that this WAV is large, and serato advise against changing its format.
However, if you're the intrepid type, you could try cropping and compressing it anyway.
NB that the copyright notice says the CD download is for single use only.
We're not sure if that means you can use it in your next live set or not,
but it could still be useful if you break a needle and have no spares.

I don't see why not. You'll need a control tone file. I can't find one on the
Native Instruments website,
however I've heard that Traktor Scratch Pro uses a 2kHz tone,
much like the one found 30s in from
the built in Control Tones record bundled with Flare.
Please tell us about your results.
Probably. The Torq web site doesn't seem offer a downloadable version of the Torq control tone, however you can purchase the Torq Control CD and try uploading it to Flare as an mp3.
As always, please share your results with us.
Don't panic! Make sure the answer to all these questions is "yes":
1) Is the browser open on your computer?
2) Is Flare running on your iPhone/iPod?
3) Is Wi-Fi enabled on your iPhone/iPod?
4) Are both your computer and iPhone/iPod connected to the same router/on the same local network?
5) Have you entered the URL into your browser exactly as it appears on the record?
Your numbers may be different, but the URL will look like this: http://192.168.1.123:12345
